Q: How can I register for the school?
A: You can register at our office or if you prefer, you can register through an affiliated agency. In any case, at the time of registration, you must pay a $100 application fee. The application fee is non-refundable.
Q: How do I determine which level is appropriate for me?
A: Students who do not have an official test score must take an evaluation test. The evaluation test takes 1 hour and consists of listening and reading questions. (It does not include any speaking or writing questions)
Q: Do all students have to take an evaluation test?
A: No, if you have an official test score, you do not have to take an evaluation test. Also, if you register for the speaking and/or writing class, you do not have to take an evaluation test. Since there is no evaluation test for students who wish to take speaking/writing class, those students are asked to assess themselves and consider which class level is appropriate for them.
Q: Can I take practice TOEFL and TOEIC tests at the school?
A: Yes, we offer free practice tests for students. These practice tests are done outside of the regular class time to maximize classroom instruction time. The TOEFL practice tests are normally done between 4:30 pm and 8:30 pm. The TOEIC practice tests are normally done between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm.
Q: Can I take the official TOEFL or TOEIC test at the school?
A: Yes, we offer the official TOEIC reading and listening test and official TOEFL test at our school. However, the official TOEIC speaking and writing test is not offered. The speaking and writing test can be taken at designated sites across Canada. Q: How much does an official TOEFL or TOEIC test cost?
A: Official TOEIC reading and listening test: CND$94.50. Official TOEIC speaking and writing test: CND$105. Official TOEFL test: US$200. Prices in effect January 1st, 2010.
